I am Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Since 1992, I have treated individuals, couples and families experiencing a broad range of mental health and addiction problems in both outpatient and residential settings. I have had specialized training in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual behavior problems, and relationship issues including those experienced by LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples.
In recent years, my concentration has been in treating adults and adolescents experiencing addiction, trauma and relationship problems including betrayal. I completed advanced training under Dr. Patrick Carnes and earned the Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) credential. I have received specialized training in treating multi-cultural individuals with an emphasis in LGBTQIA+ concerns and gender issues, including those resulting from marginalization by family, community and the dominant culture. I also have been receiving training and peer mentoring in anti-racist therapy and want to continue, as a white-bodied therapist, to help dismantle institutionalized white supremacy within the field of psychotherapy.
A member of the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, (WPATH), the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Oregon Mental Health Counselors Association (OMHCA), I continue professional development to offer state-of-the-art treatment approaches to depression, anxiety, sexual and relationship addictions, trauma and culturally-specific LGBTQIA+ concerns.
